Every time I visit this place it’s reminds me of my visits down south because of the hospitality. The workers are very friendly and treat customers right. I often travel there for the hot food and I tell you, I haven’t been let down yet.

Dan and I were turned on to this place about 10 months ago. The soul food is delicious ( I love their greens and yams the most ), Dan loves their meats. Everything that we have tried We Love! Keep Cooking That Delicious Soul Food!

I go for the deli and it’s great I always get 3 plates but if you want ribs you better get there early lol

The choice of food was amazing. The service and patience by the server was amazing. The flavor of the food I purchased was good as well. I highly recommend the take out that is set up here.

This place is amazing! I always load up on seasonings and meat from the store while I get Sunday dinner to take home. The food and service from the restaurant makes me drive 4 hours to get it!

I visited here for the restaurant inside. Good food, nice variety and large portions dinners. I really like the smothered chicken. I tried a few dinners and all meats taste like it was slowed cooked. Fast and friendly service.

I stopped by to grab some groceries and was welcomed by the aroma of the freshly prepared food they were serving. Picked up some ribs, macaroni and cheese, and even cherry cobbler it was all amazing! The biscuits were extremely moist and delicious! Next time I'm in there I'll definitely be trying the chicken and the rib tips. Portions are perfect! Even snagged a few bags of Better Made chips made right here in Michigan!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Soul Food Treasure in Flint! I discovered Great Giant Supermarket while searching for local gems in the Flint area, and I’m so glad I did. This place has a soul food kitchen tucked away inside—hidden in plain sight—and it’s a true culinary surprise. I ordered the catfish dinner combo, which came with two sides, cornbread, and a can of pop. I chose mac and cheese and yams, and every bite was a delight. The catfish was fried to perfection with a flavorful Cajun seasoning, and the two fillets were generous and satisfying. The yams were sweet and soft—just how they’re supposed to be—and the baked mac and cheese was rich, cheesy, and well-seasoned. Honestly, I couldn’t believe this kind of quality soul food came from a supermarket. The price was more than fair for the portion and flavor. My only small critique is that I expected the cornbread to be homemade, but it was packaged. Still, that didn’t take away from the overall experience. If you're in Flint and craving comfort food that hits the spot, don’t overlook Great Giant Supermarket. It’s a hidden gem worth discovering!

The market was very well stocked, lots of great meat and other grocery deals. I came because I seen your review on TikTok so decided to try it and the food did not disappoint. It was a very delicious and very reasonably priced. My meal included a slice of cornbread and a pop. I will definitely be returning.
